Keepsake Quilts and Cushions

Cushions and Quilts are a wonderful way to be able to see the beauty of your treasured clothing whilst they still look like the clothing items you remember.  From the little poppers on vests or sleepsuit, to the full wording or characters on PJ's these can all be included and adored.

Imagine being snuggled up with your little ones wrapped in a quilt made from their little clothing items.  My daughter likes to hear all about the bits and bobs on the quilt and knows what she wore on the way home from hospital and the first item I brought her when I found out I was pregnant.  She can hand this down to her children and those memories and love will last through the decades.

The finished items are all machine washable (after all the clothing has been washed a squillion times!!!) on a cool wash and air dried as flat as possible.  Iron on the reverse/inside out and enjoy snuggling again.

Quilts will have a small degree of shrinkage on the first wash and this helps to create the authentic patchwork quilt feel. I pride myself on using traditional methods when making the quilts such has individual piecing, using only quality materials for wadding and of course double fold hand binding.  If this doesn't mean anything to you - it does me!!  Take from it that I took my time making your items with love, care and attention so they will become heirloom pieces which will stay in your family for decades.  No throw away society here - its all about keeping those memories preserved and alive.
